The most-awaited clash of the T20 World Cup 2026, between India and Pakistan, is set to take place on Sunday, February 15. It will be played at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
The two teams have played each other eight times in the history of the tournament so far. India have dominated with seven wins while Pakistan have managed to win just once. These seven wins also include the famous one in the final of the 2007 edition, where the Men in Blue were crowned the first-ever champions.

This time around, his own countrymen Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav, who are in exceptional form and have a half-century each in the tournament already, can break this record.
From Pakistan, Sahibzada Farhan, who also scored a half-century in their last game, has the potential to break this record.

The record for the most wickets between India and Pakistan in T20 World Cups is currently jointly held by Haris Rauf, Irfan Pathan, and Hardik Pandya. The three of them have six wickets each.
However, Hardik Pandya can make this record his own by going past Rauf and Irfan. With Rauf not a part of Pakistan’s squad for the ongoing event, the chances of Hardik doing so become all the more higher.
Moreover, the Indian all-rounder is also in good form with the ball, having returned figures of 2/21 from four overs in their last match against Namibia. He also has a solid record against Pakistan in T20Is overall, having picked up 15 wickets from eight innings.
