India wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan was the star for the team as the Men in Blue secured victory in Game No. 27 of the T20 World Cup 2026 against Pakistan. The match was played on Sunday, February 15, at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Sent in to bat, India posted 175/7 in their 20 overs, thanks to Kishan’s explosive 77 off 40 balls, which included 10 fours and three sixes. Contributions from Tilak Varma (25), Suryakumar Yadav (32), and Shivam Dube (27) added further stability to the innings.
In response, India’s bowlers dominated from the start, and Pakistan never got going, being bowled out for 114, handing the Men in Blue a 61-run victory. Ishan Kishan was named Player of the Match for his stunning half-century.

In response, Misbah-ul-Haq made a valiant 53 off 35 balls, but he could not take his team over the line, getting run out on the final ball as Pakistan finished at 141/7, resulting in a tie. The Men in Blue eventually won the match 3-0 in a bowl-out.
#4 Virat Kohli (55* off 37)
India faced Pakistan in Game No. 19 of the T20 World Cup 2016 at Eden Gardens. Sent in to bat, the visitors managed 118/5 after the game was reduced to 18 overs due to rain.
In reply, India came under early pressure, losing three wickets for just 23 runs. Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh then shared a 61-run partnership for the fourth wicket before the latter was dismissed for 24. Kohli recorded a fifty, remaining unbeaten on 55 off 37 balls, including seven fours and one six, as the Men in Blue won the game by six wickets with 13 balls to spare.
#3 Gautam Gambhir (75 off 54)
The T20 World Cup 2007 saw India and Pakistan clash in the summit clash at the New Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg. Choosing to bat first, opening batter Gautam Gambhir was the standout performer for India, scoring 75 off 54 balls, including eight fours and two sixes, as the team posted 157/5 in their 20 overs.
In response, Pakistan put up a strong fight, but India held their nerve to win the contest by five runs, bowling Pakistan out for 152 in 19.3 overs.

The second on the list is Ishan Kishan’s brilliant half-century in the T20 World Cup 2026 edition in Colombo. Sent in to bat, the Men in Blue posted 175, with Kishan shining with a 77 off 40 balls at a strike rate of 192.5, including 10 fours and three sixes.
Chasing 176, Pakistan struggled as Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Axar Patel, and Varun Chakaravarthy each picked up two wickets, and the Men in Green were bowled out for just 114 in 18 overs, handing India a 61-run victory.
#1 Virat Kohli (82* off 53)
The Melbourne Cricket Ground hosted the India vs Pakistan clash in the T20 World Cup 2022. Sent in to bat, Pakistan posted 159/8 in their 20 overs, thanks to fifties from Iftikhar Ahmed (51) and Shan Masood (52*). For India, Hardik Pandya and Arshdeep Singh starred with the ball, picking up three wickets each.
In response, India got off to a shaky start, losing four wickets for just 31 runs. Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya then shared a 113-run partnership for the fifth wicket before the latter was dismissed for 40 off 37 balls. Kohli played an innings of a lifetime, remaining unbeaten on 82 off 53 balls, hitting six fours and four sixes, as India sealed a famous victory by four wickets on the final ball.
