Mercedes Mone reunites with top star amid extended AEW absence

Date:

Mercedes Mone was spotted with a top AEW star during her hiatus for over a month. She has been making different appearances outside of wrestling. She is even set to return to Arena Mexico in March, where she will put the CMLL Women’s World Championship on the line. She recently reunited with Mina Shirakawa for a major appearance. Mercedes hasn’t been seen in the Jacksonville-based promotion since the New Year’s Smash edition of Dynamite.

The CEO lost the prestigious TBS Championship to Willow Nightingale that night. After the devastating loss, she decided to step away from the squared circle indefinitely. Meanwhile, Mina Shirakawa is still seen alongside Toni Storm on AEW TV. She recently had her hair cut by Wheeler Yuta, but she took her revenge on the Death Rider by shaving his head at Grand Slam Australia.

Recently, the two AEW stars appeared on the We Playin’ Spades show. Mercedes Mone took to Instagram and shared a picture of two to advertise their fiery interview.

“Check out @mina_shirakawa and I on #weplayinspades with @nickcannon and the beautiful therealcourtneybee,” Mone wrote.

Mercedes Mone gives a medical update during her hiatus

The former TBS Champion took a break from the Jacksonville-based promotion. Before taking a hiatus, the CEO claimed she would return to the promotion better than before.

On RejuvStem’s Instagram, Mone revealed that she will undergo stem cell therapy in Mexico.

“My name is Mercedes Mone, I’m a professional wrestling icon and legend and I’m here in Cancun, Mexico, getting my RejuvStem on. I really came down here just for recovery. I wanted to feel good, I have a little break from wrestling right now. So, I’m here to heal my body, and I’m feeling really good. I did get the Dezawa muse cells, and I also got a nice little facial,” she said.

It will be interesting to see when she returns to All Elite Wrestling.
