How to collect coal in Starsand Island
As mentioned earlier, coal in Starsand Island is an important crafting resource. Before you begin collecting it, however, you must get your hands on some important tools. Here are the items that you need:
To get the Impulse Pickaxe, you first need to collect its blueprint from Zerine’s store. However, this becomes available only after you progress through Zerine’s crafting quest.
Once you get the recipe, head to a Worktable (Level 1) and craft the tool. To obtain the Slingshot, interact with Zephyria and learn about the exploration club. After that, he will hand over the item to you.
Collecting coal in Starsand Island
After you have both the required tools, head to the Dreamfall Garden of the Moonlit Forest. Once you arrive at the entrance to the area, you will find that it is blocked.
You need to clear the path by shooting lit-up crystals using the Slingshot. Next, head straight, turn left, cross the bridge, and you will arrive at the Gate of Life.
Since it is closed, you will need to destroy the three Gravecrystals located nearby to get a way ahead. Now, move straight, and you will encounter another blockade. Use your Impulse pickaxe to clear it.
Next, cross the bubble bridge to enter the Dreamfall Garden. Once there, you will easily identify the coal deposits with their pitch-black color. Moreover, you can walk to the resource, and a prompt will display its details. Finally, use your pickaxe to mine the coal.
