Date:

Where Winds Meet Masked Troupe sect is now introduced in the title giving players more options to expand their social identity. The Masked Troupe is a performance-focused sect that centers around music and dance instead of martial arts. Their philosophy revolves around enjoying life’s moments and expressing creativity through artistic means.

Members are entertainers first, taking on the role of roaming virtuosos rather than traditional fighters. If you are considering joining this unique sect, here’s everything you need to know, from requirements and initiation steps to benefits and rules.

Joining the Where Winds Meet Masked Troupe requires completing a short sequence of tasks in the Online mode. Follow these steps carefully:

  1. Speak to Han Yanluo at Fairgrounds: Travel to Fairgrounds in Kaifeng City and locate Han Yanluo. She is on a small boat west of the central temple area. Exhaust dialogue with her: any available dialogue option will move the process forward. After your initial conversation, speak to her again and choose the “I’m willing to” option to begin your initiation quest.
  2. Perform Music or Dance: Open your emote menu and go to the ‘Talents’ tab. From there, select an instrument to play or choose the Dance option. Your performance needs to be witnessed. Specifically, you need to receive Likes for your music or dance. Petalfall Crossing is a popular location where players gather, making it a good place to perform.
  3. Return to Han Yanluo: Once you’ve successfully completed the performance requirement, go back to Han Yanluo at the same location in Fairgrounds. Speak to her again to join the sect.

Unlike other combat-oriented sects, the Masked Troupe’s rules focus on preserving its artistic image, especially in the Online mode. Members must adhere to the following:

  • No begging
  • No partnership emotes
  • No marriage
  • A complete outfit must always be worn (no missing top or bottom pieces)

Violating these guidelines triggers an NPC to appear. To prevent exposure, members must use Tai Chi to throw the NPC into the water, maintaining the sect’s secrecy.
