I’m gonna get f**king sued

New York Liberty guard Natasha Cloud recently shared on social media her thoughts about the ongoing WNBA CBA negotiations.

A fan on X shared a clip of Cloud’s TikTok live on Tuesday, wherein the veteran guard expressed her frustrations on the league, led by WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert. The league remain far apart with the players in CBA negotiations.

“Every time that we keep coming back to the league, there’s a new estimate of the overall value of the league that keeps increasing,” Cloud said. “So you keep increasing, and then keep trying to literally depreciate our value, our equity, our finances within the business. It don’t make no sense.

“I don’t want hear sh*t else about our league loses money, every professional league, every organization loses money somewhere. … So we’ll give you updates on the CBA when we get updates on the CBA, but for eight months, we have got no update.”

Cloud reiterated that the players’ association would not back down in negotiations. She then told a fan that she is prohibited from divulging details of the league’s latest proposal:

“If I didn’t sign the NDA, you all know I’ll f**king tell you. We can’t talk about this sh*t, I’m gonna get f**king sued.”

The reported biggest hurdle in the WNBA CBA negotiations is the revenue-sharing model. The WNBPA reportedly wants a bigger piece of the revenue, up to a 30% share. WNBA insider Annie Costabile reported that the league’s latest counteroffer “does not meet or exceed 15% of total league revenue.”

Cloud is coming off her first season with New York, where she averaged 10.1 points and 5.1 assists per game on 43.3% shooting. The Liberty acquired the veteran guard in a trade with the Connecticut Sun before the 2025 season.

Cloud helped Breanna Stewart and Co. to a 27-17 regular-season record. However, they were elminated in the first round of the playoffs by the eventual WNBA finalist, Phoenix Mercury.

Natasha Cloud’s Liberty teammate, Breanna Stewart, is set to play overseas amid uncertain WNBA CBA negotiations

Amid the ongoing WNBA CBA negotiations, New York Liberty star Breanna Stewart will play in the 2026 EuroLeague Final Six in April. On Monday, European powerhouse Fenerbahçe Opet announced that Stewart will rejoin the team for the Final Six on April 15 to 19.

Several fans were surprised by the news as the start of the WNBA training camps on April 19 coincides with the EuroLeague championship game. Some believe that Stewart could be sending a message to the league.

There are already rumors about a possible WNBA lockout or strike soon, and Stewart’s scheduled appearance overseas has intensified speculation. The two-time WNBA MVP has been key to the negotiations, as she is one of the players’ association’s vice presidents.

The 2026 WNBA season is scheduled to begin on May 8. However, before that, the league has to conduct expansion drafts for the Toronto Tempo and Portland Fire, the regular rookie draft and the free agency period.
